The wastegate actuator is held to the compressor housing by two bolts
threaded into the housing itself. The arm attaches to the wastegate linkage with a
small retaining clip. Once the turbine housing is rotated, the wastegate no longer
lines up properly. It must be relocated slightly. To do this, I drilled a new
mounting hole (1/4" drill) in between the existing holes as shown. Then using
just one mounting bolt, line up the new hole with one of the tapped holes on the
compressor housing (the one to the left when looking at the holes straight on, compressor
housing away from you). |
